摘要

As an important operation equipment in the power system,power capacitors mainly play the role of reactive power com-pensation,AC/DC filtering and so on.This paper describes the structure and insulation materials of power capacitors and analyses its typical defects.The research status of insulation aging mechanism of power capacitors,including electrical aging,thermal aging,space charge aging,etc.,is summarized.Then,recommendations of the research direction of insula-tion aging mechanism are provided,and some suggestions on the production process of power capacitors are given.
