High-speed optical wireless links for datacenters

We experimentally demonstrate up to 40 Gbit/s optical wireless communication (OWC) systems made of commercial offthe-shelf components (COTS). The OWC systems use Non-Return to Zero (NRZ) or adaptive Orthogonal FrequencyDivision Multiplexing (OFDM), do not need active alignment and are designed to provide high-speed wireless connectivityin Data-Centers (DCs) or similar environments.
