Relative movements, prior to and during the initial setting of the grout, are to be regarded as particularly critical for the structural soundness ofgrouted connections. Currently, the expected relative movement duringgrouting shall be limited to a maximum of 1 mm, whereby the behaviorof the structure is based on ungrouted piles. However, it can beassumed that the grout contributes to the stiffness of the structure in asignificant manner. In order to consider the grout-stiffness during thedesign process, methods for determining the development of groutstiffnessunder the influence of early-age movement are required. Thegoal of the presented research was to develop such a method, which isbased on rotational and oscillatory rheology and will be presented inthe following.
