摘要

The barge platform has simple structure and is moreadaptable to water depth, but with larger seakeepingmotions in waves. In order to improve it, an air-cushion isintroduced into barge platform and the concept of AircushionSupported Truss Barge Platform (ASTBP) isproposed. In this paper, the initial stability of ASTBP isestimated firstly, then the seakeeping performance isstudied in WAMIT. The air-cushion can improve the heaveand surge motion obviously, and has no influence on pitchmotion in practical application.
