摘要

One of the prospective approaches within the framework of nondestructive structural health monitoring techniques is the use of elements made of piezoelectric materials. These elements can act as actuators for exciting vibrational processes in a structure or as sensors for recording the structural response to the dynamic impact applied. In this case, determining the optimal location of piezoelectric elements on a structure is a problem of paramount importance in order to ensure the most efficient operation of structural health monitoring systems and to guarantee the identification of defects in structures.
