摘要

The article deals with the issues of improving the quality of education for students of power engineering department through designing and providing training sessions by means of an operator training simulator. The authors discuss the layout and implementation of the training to restore normal operation regime of the power system after the auto-transformer emergency shutdown at the substation. The authors emphasize that each designed session simulates an actual problem in the power system, which allows students to operate as dispatch personnel under close-to-real conditions. Virtually, the training has been designed by means of the operator training simulator, which is the basic software for organizing laboratory practicals in the course “Dispatching control in electrical power engineering”. The main goal of training participants is emergency response and recovery of power supply to consumers. Training format is team-based, thus all the participants play their own role. The training session consists of several stages, concluding with an analysis of dispatcher’s decisions. Student’s actions are evaluated through protocol analysis with records of events and decisions made in specific periods of time. The key point of the training is student’s decisions on the most relevant emergency response solution. To sum up, the authors developed and tested emergency response drill, adapted for students, but, at the same time, allowing them to develop the skills of dispatching control under close-to-real conditions.
