This research is a continuity of a research on developing teaching history in architecture. The paperexplains and evaluates the cross-disciplinary learning approach that is used in teaching a course inhistory in architecture, an analytical tool that is designed by the author to the help the students for aanalyzing the buildings and a series of in-campus and out-campus activities.The course is taught by the author in the higher public education system in Egypt. The analytical toolprovides questions that helped the students to recognize the type, the context, the visual attribute, andthe social and political context of the building. The in-campus and out-campus activities includesresearch projects and fieldworks in the Christian, the neoclassical, and liberal age sites in Egypt. Thecourse activities includes the exhibition of the final students work and the competitions that werelaunched to motivate the students.A designed questioner was used by the students to evaluate the course, the analytical tool, thedifferent in-class and out class exercises, the cross-disciplinary approach, the role of the course inhelping the students perceiving the Egyptian cultural heritage through late 19th century and early 20thcentury buildings, and to raise their cultural heritage awareness. And finally, the students were askedto define the obstacles of the course and give recommendation to develop the course for the nextyear.
