The offer of Differential and Integral Calculus and Analytical Geometry and Linear Algebra disciplinesin semipresencial mode, is guided by the idea that new ways of promoting the teaching and learningmust occur in the academic context. Currently, the distance education, or the use of VirtualEnvironments for Teaching and Learning, have contributed significantly to attend a growing contingentof students, since they are many features of the new technologies of information and communication,effectively provide an interaction between teacher and student. This fact defy the professionals ofeducation, leading them to think about new models of teaching and learning that are needed, and alsoconsidering the social character that this modality occupies. In this context, the Federal TechnologicalUniversity of Parana has developed a project that requires, from the professionals involved, a newway of interpreting and working with those proposed for the disciplines concerned contents, without,however, disregarding the degree of complexity and levels of quality required by the institution. Thisproject is an attempt to normalize the normal flow of students in meeting the curriculum, since thedisciplines mentioned have a high failure rate and not always the number of places offered is sufficientto attend demand. Thus, this article focuses on the difficulties in involving teachers in higher educationwith distance education in order to contribute to the advancement of the discussions in this area. It isbased on the development of a project of teaching of Differential and Integral Calculus I and AnalyticalGeometry and Linear Algebra in semipresencial mode, under the Federal Technological University ofParana, to which it is fulfilled only the first step, which is the elaboration specific courseware. It wasnoticed, in this regard, there is still resistance of teachers in present the mathematical content in themidst of a dialogue with the student.
