Simulation of Arc Extinction in Discharge Chambers of Lightning Protection Equipment

摘要

This article describes theoretical investigations of new generation of surge arresters designed for protection of critical power objects. The results of mathematical modeling, namely, the arc temperature distributions are given. The influence of the chamber design on the arc extinction process is shown.
