The objective of this study is to explore the smoke treatment method of tall welding workshops. The numerical simulation method is used to analyze the velocity field and concentration field of the welding spot by adjusting the speed, air supply and height of the air outlet. Results revealed that the low induced jet flow (1.5 m) could reduce the concentration of smoke to 0.004 g/m~3 or less of the environmental protection requirements. In comparison with full ventilation, the number of indoor air replacement, energy consumption and smoke control have greater advantages, which is of great reference to the smoke processing in general welding workshops.
