摘要

The purpose of this study was to develop a knowledge management system for basic hand tools and machinery using ontology technique for increasing information search efficiency and for practical use. Ontology technique was applied to help presenting the system in the form of semantic web using OWL and RAP languages that supported analyses in knowledge management process. The system was designed to meet users' need. It was tested and evaluated by experts and users. The study showed that the system could help the users to efficiently use the right tools for the right jobs. According to the satisfaction evaluation, the experts and the users were very satisfied with the developed system. The satisfaction mean was 4.34 and the standard deviation was 0.54. This proved that the set hypothesis was true.
