Challenges in translating systems outputs into design concepts (Read et al., 2015); A Design Toolkit was introduced to address this (Read et al., 2015), based on principles of participatory design (Luck, 2018); In use with Cognitive Work Analysis, it has been shown to be enjoyable but not revolutionary (Read et al., 2016). Various analysis approaches (e.g., STAMP, EAST, CWA, AcciMap) have been shown to contribute uniquely to understanding a complex problem (Salmon & Read, 2019). Therefore, using the Design Toolkit with a broad range of analyses may be useful.
