For the friction plate wear testing of wet clutch and the on-line monitoring about the size and number of wear particle, the test system and method of the wet clutch friction plate wear amount was designed, on-line monitoring of friction plate temperature and oil wear particles were achieved. The a hydraulic flexible connection system is used as the dynamic input, on-line oil monitoring sensor was located on the pressure oil and lubricating oil circulation circuits to test the size and quantity of the wear particles in oil. The clutch and hydraulic components were protected from particles damage by online monitoring. The particles were generated because of excessive wear of friction. To protect the frictional parts of clutch against multiple engagement-induced abnormal damage, the temperature sensors were used to test the temperature in the clutch steel; and monitor the operating condition of friction plate to assures the clutch reliability. By the experimental testing, wear online testing system can be effectively used for friction plate wear amount test.
