KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) has more than 8.5 million poles of distribution line throughout South Korea. Each pole has a registration plate to display pole's information such as unique number for NDSI, name of distribution line, location and so on. However, we cannot acquire all the information from the registration plate because most of the information for the pole is stored in computer server system that is called NDIS. In order to get some information for the pole from NDIS, workers have to access to NDIS in the center or head office, and then print out related information. It is very uncomfortable working when workers stay at work in place specially. To address inconvenient problem to get pole's information by using registration plate of distribution line, it is necessary to apply advanced technology using RFID and smart phone to recognize pole's information in the registration plate. In this paper, we implement BLE communication model to communicate between RFID tag and smart phone through Bluetooth communication.
