DreamScope: Mobile Virtual Reality Interface

DreamScope is an interactive, bespoke 360° mobile virtual reality (VR) interface designed for immersive interaction of visitors in a post-apocalyptic fictional world called Lucid Peninsula. The goal of the installation is to offer a way for people to experience the future. DreamScope is composed of two assets; on one side, the DreamViewer binoculars, which enable participants to see the Lucid Peninsula fictional world and on the other, the DreamCatchers mobile devices that 'catch' the dreams of the inhabitants of the peninsula. Initial evaluations of the Dreamscope support the positive role of 360° mobile virtual reality in strengthening the narrative and the artists intent.
