摘要

The advent of industrialization resulted from fast rising of human population and technological needs,has drastically increased the environmental pollution worldwide.For example,the uprising level of sulfur-containing compounds in the atmosphere due to emission from automobiles and hydrocarbon processing is of great concern that necessitate urgent social and scientific attentions.The current sulfur content in the transportation fuels should be as low as 10 ppm as promulgated by environmental policy makers,which is a stringent regulation on the petroleum refiners.The recent catalysts development for HDS activity employs Ni(Co)Mo supported mesoporous silica modified with different heteroatoms(Ti,Zr and Ce)and chelating agent.Our recent studies established that HDS catalytic performance of sulfided-Ni(Co)Mo is directly correlated with modification of the amorphous silica by chelating agent and heteroatoms.The catalytic properties with respect to specific surface area and pore-size distribution,ease of reduction,degree of sulfidation of metal oxides and dispersion of the active species are greatly improved by these strategies.The series of heteroatoms modified catalysts developed have great potential for ultradeep desulfurization.
