Freeze-resisting polypropylene is a composition based on polypropylene filled by butyl rubber inclusions. Work presents two-dimensional and three-dimensional models of representative volume consisting of polypropylene matrix with various quantity, size and collocation of butyl rubber inclusions. Effective characteristics of freeze-resisting polypropylene are obtained based on the information about deformation-strength characteristics of polypropylene matrix and butyl rubber inclusions. Comparison of calculated effective deformation-strength characteristics and experimental data for freeze-resisting polypropylene is carried out. Mean value and standard deviation of the effective Young's modulus and yield strength for the freeze-resisting polypropylene with the degree of filling by butyl rubber of 10% are defined. Stress-strain state calculation of a detail made of frost-resisting polypropylene with a steel insert is carried out using ANSYS software. The probability of failure-free operation at temperature from +20 to -60 0C and under additional axial load is estimated.
