Increasing power demand and global warming are forcing the world towards the power generation from renewable energy sources. But, wind power generation is highly uncertain and intermittent in its nature. To support grid integration of large capacity wind farms, wind power forecasting plays a vital role. Grid reliability is greatly increasedwith the assistance of accurate wind power forecasting. This paper describes the implementation of NARX Artificial neural network in wind speed & power forecasting with the historical data available from US wind farms.
