Required for safe handling and transportation of natural gas liquids. This paper discusses basic components of the gas chromatograph. It directs the student to Gas Processors Midstream (GPA) analytical methods 2177 'Method for the Analysis of Demethanized Hydrocarbon Liquid Mixtures Containing Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide by Gas Chromatography' and 2186 'Tentative Method for the Extended Analysis of Hydrocarbon Liquid Mixtures Containing Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide by Temperature Programmed Gas Chromatography'. This paper lists the critical steps to obtain accurate results.
