Continuous processes - sustainable manufacturing

The development of chemical processes for industrial manufacturing was formerly mainly driven by cost aspects and the available experience and technological equipment. This has changed recently - not for the cost aspect which will remain the most important driver, but the sustainability aspect has entered into consideration as well and the development of alternative production equipment (like microreactors) has given additional momentum.
