Flow chemistry is rapidly evolving as a useful addition to the toolbox for chemical synthesis. The technique has been widely recognised within the pharmaceutical industry as having the potential to greatly impact the drug discovery and production process. By accurately controlling reaction temperatures and mixing parameters, in reactors offering a high surface to volume ratio, flow chemistry methodology offers significant advantages in: 1. reaction safety; 2. selectivity; 3. scalability; 4. access to non-standard temperature and pressures on scale.
