The Design and Simulation of Communication Network in Railway systems

摘要

This paper presents the design and simulation of communication networks in the railway system for training of railway staffs or students. The designed approach concerns on both of the communication among subsystems in a station and station-to-station communication. Because consistency of signaling systems is a vital factor to maintain railway system safety, so that the communication network must be fault torelance. In order to educate railway staff or student to understand how to design such a robust communication network for a railway system, using network simulation program is the most cheapest and the most effective approach. This paper provides steps of communication networking design that guide learner from the first step of designing to testing as to verify the designed model for further practical implementation in the future.
