摘要

The reliability of laboratory porosity and pore compressibility data obtained on unconsolidated(non-cemented)sands is a critical issue in heavy oil and deep-offshore reservoirs as initial pore volume and rock behavior during depletion can have a tremendous impact on production strategy and reserves.The present experimental work first addresses the issue of sample integrity following the coring process: core damage is investigated by dedicated laboratory tests.Then,experimental work tackles elasto-visco-plastic behavior of unconsolidated reservoir sands and suggests an interpretation for creep phases and isotropic tests.
