This research mainly distinguishes the flow field of interactions of the tide, wave, and current (tide current and ocean current) of the eastern coast of Taiwan. The hydrodynamics of the water body near the estuary of Huping Creek, Hualien were simulated. In addition, the results of the hydrodynamics simulation were compared with the field observations, and the influence of the parameters setting of the model was discussed. The simulation results showed that the effects of tide, nearshore current, and current are significant in the study area. To correctly represent the flow field of the estuary, the nearshore current should be taken into account.
