Currently, radars installed on vehicles have been widely put into practical use (1). Moreover, radars will be attached to road-side-units for safety systems in the near future. Therefore, there is fear that interference between infrastructure radars and radars installed on vehicles will often occur. We have shown that 2FICW (Two-Frequency Interrupted Continuous Wave) modulation is suitable as an infrastructure radar (2). The purpose of this research is to show that our proposed modulation based on 2FICW, staggered PRI (Pulse Repeat Interval) 2FICW, can suppress interference waves from other radars. First, we survey position relation of interference between infrastructure radar and radar installed on vehicles. Further, we demonstrate the priority of staggered PRI 2FICW by comprising with 2FICW under an interference wave.
