Modelling and resolution of a linear problem in integer numbers for an optimal air hub location in the WAEMU zone

摘要

In this paper, we propose two linear models in integer numbers for the optimal air traffic hub location in the WAEMU (West African Economic and Monetory Union) zone. The first one minimizes the distances and takes into account the flow of passengers recorded in the different airports. The second one, in addition of the transportation costs, minimizes the extension costs for the fact that the airports do not have the same scale. We elaborate two algorithms of resolution and use Python for the simulations.
