The rapidly growing technological advancements for the electric machines driven systems have made teaching techniques are obsolete. This advancements have introduced difficulties in the teaching process. Aiming to improve the quality of the education, this paper aims to present an experimental workbench for assist in laboratory classes, facilitating the absorption of the content. Will be shown the development and validation of an experimental workbench set up to help teaching. The development of experimental workbench will be divided into three parts: the Power Circuit, the Control Circuit and Precharge Circuit. To validation the experimental workbench as a theaching tool, will be presented the theory of scalar control (V/f), comparing the results from simulation with the experimental. Showing that the experimental workbench as a good tool to improve the quality of the education.
