The objective of this study is to discuss the possibilities of rural tourism in the Dubrovnik area. The area abounds in resources favourable for its development. Due to the lack of projects in the County of Dubrovnik, rural tourism is unable to exploit all of its resources. Its development is in stagnation. Consequently, the Dubrovnik area has only 75 home-style lodgings, out of which only three provide services necessary for this kind of tourism.
