摘要

A simplified computational model of a thin walled purlin restrained by a corrugated sheeting is proposed in the paper. In this model the Sokol concept is further developed. Parameters of the model proposed in the paper are identified by comparison with computer simulated experiment. In order to obtain maximum exactness of this experiment the authors created a sophisticated computational model, where in discretization of purlins and corrugated sheet fine FEM meshes with shell elements were implemented. Various models of bolted connections without and with clearances are studied. The numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed simplified model and the importance of proper modelling of slotted bolted connections. It is also shown that small initial clearances affect structural response in a similar way as small initial geometric imperfections.
