The use of indigenous rhizobacteria is one alternative approach that can be done to overcome the problems of low nutrients, low microbial activity, and plant diseases on marginal lands ultisols in Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the application of indigenous rhizobacteria formulation with inorganic fertilizers in improving the resistance againts pathogens, growth, and yield of soybean crops in marginal lands ultisols. Research results showed that the application of indigenous rhizobacteria formulation combined with inorganic fertilizers enhanced the resistance against pathogens, growth, and yield of soybean crops in marginal lands ultisols. The combination of indigenous rhizobacteria formulation + 50% recommended inorganic fertilizer N, P, and K was effective to improve crop resistance to infectious diseases of mosaic virus and bacterial leaf blight, as well as enhance the growth of plant height and number of leaves, increase the weight of the wet pod, pod dry weight, number of seeds, and seed weight of soybean crops in marginal lands ultisols.
