摘要

The tribological property under lubrication with ester oil was investigated in the nanostructured ultra-low carbon steel (pure Fe) fabricated by both severe plastic deformation (SPD) and physical vapor deposition (PVD) methods. The nanostructured pure Fe having high density lattice defects showed lower friction coefficient compared with coarse grained sample in the ball-on-disk test under ester oil. These results indicate that, irrespective of production method, friction coefficient can be reduced by controlling microstructure.
