Recycling of PVC cables increasing dramatically - (PPT)

The PVC industry chain signed a Voluntary Commitment - Vinyl 2010 - in 2000. Part of it is recycling. To achieve + 200 000 tons of recycling of waste in addition to the existing and outside regulated wastes (eg E&E). But this gives us knowledge also of that recycling. In 2000, there was recycling of 42 000 tons of PVC cable waste. The driver for collection is the value of the metal. Exportation of cable waste is a reality. The separation of metal and insulations is done mechanically - as it keeps the value of the copper high.
