DRY AND WET GUNNING - TECHNICO-ECONOMIC REFRACTORY CONCRETE CONCEPTS FOR HIGHLY LOADED CEMENT PLANTS

Nowadays, refractory concepts are coupled more closely than ever to technical and economic factors. This paper shows a further developed dry and wet gunning technology, which offers the highest application flexibility and a superior performance, from extremely lightweight products to highly compacted low or no cement gunning concretes. The implementation of both technico-economically improved installation procedures requires, despite the different conveying technology, a comparable product philosophy of dry and wet gunning concretes and a further developed gunning equipment with higher flexibility for specific adjustments. Under these conditions, the gunning technology can also be successfully used in highly loaded areas, like the nose ring of a cement plant.
