Development of the Application for Fitting Functions Using Expression Parsing

To develop an application for fitting functions to data for analysts who do not have programming experience, we apply an expression parsing algorithm to evaluate functions and derivatives. Using the algorithm, arbitrary mathematical expressions for fitting functions are available as inputs. Therefore, we can provide simple interfaces to perform fitting functions easily, and can evaluate the derivatives of arbitrary functions analytically. This application is implemented using Java. We also report the performance of the proposed application.
