Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Mhp) is one of the most prevalent and economically significant respiratory pathogens in the swine industry. Vertical transmission of Mhp has been proposed as the most important means of transmission in segregated production systems.1 Additionally, Mhp prevalence at weaning has been shown to be an important factor in determining clinical presentation of disease downstream.2
