The possibilities of the contrast improvement in fluorography image with digital processing

摘要

The annual fluorography chest screening profoundly contributes to the total radiation dose delivered to the patient. The application of additional image contrast improving methods (high tube potential technique, anti-scatter grid method) increases the radiation dose to several times. X-ray image digitalprocessing with special softwareis proposed as alternative method for visual contrast improvement to minimize the patient dose.
