For a long time, the hydrogeological characteristics of permafrost regions are barely understood bypeople, especially on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. On the basis of predecessors' research and hydrogeological survey, this study is to understand the characteristic of distribution, phase change, quality and quantity of groundwater aquifer in continuous permafrost regions in east Qumar basin on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In the region, the aquifer of suprapermafrost groundwater in loose sediments changes along with seasonal variation, with the biggest thickness of aquifer of 3 m in August. The watery of suprapermafrost groundwater in bedrock weathered zone has the feature of vertical zonality, with its border of 5,000 m above sea level. Characteristics of spatial distribution are different due to the different forming reasons of taliks. The subpermafrost aquifer is discontinuously distributed in this region.
