Based on the new progresses of scientific researches and prospecting works made by some geologists for Jinchangyu gold deposit, this study analyzes the structural pattern of the ore field for predicting ore bodies of the deposit, and discusses the geochemistry of the gold deposit for probing into the source of ore-forming materials. It is believed that the distribution of ore bodies is controlled by the ductile-brittle zone superposed on early fold. The principal ore vein extends along a boundary of the huge ductile-brittle shear zone and with great horizontal and vertical extension. There might have similar ore belts in another boundary of the shear zone. The isotopic geochemistry indicates that ore-forming materials mainly come from deep earth through mantle plume evolution. Finally, the perspective prospecting target is proposed.
