To satisfy the increasing demand for processing high-performance materials in industry, a new hybrid process, Mechano-Electrochemical Milling (MECM), is developed in this research. This hybrid machining process combines the effect of both the conventional milling process and the Electrochemical Machining process (ECM). The principle of this process will be depicted in this paper. To present the effectiveness of the developed process, experiments have been carried out on Ti6Al4V. A comparative study for ECM and MECM concerning material removal rate and shape accuracy will be presented. Further, the material removal mechanism and surface quality of the new process were investigated.
