摘要

Vapour line juice heater has been considered important equipment when planning the steam economy in the process of sugar factory. Hence it becomes an essential part of our thoughts to reconsider the design feature to achieve maximum approach temperature and suitable location of installation to have maximum economy. The latest type of vapour line juice heater is steam dynamic heater with main feature to achieve 3- 4 deg C approach temperature. The juice can be heated to 3-4~*c less than the temperature of the heating medium steam/vapour. Various formulae for calculating the heat transfer coefficient have been discussed in detail and a conclusive method has been suggested for the calculating the coefficient to design dynamic juice heater and also the future path for modification based on more practical data.
