REQUIREMENT AND SCHEDULE OF NITROGEN IN PRESENCE OF GLUCANOACETOBACTOR DIZOTROPHICUS FOR SUGARCANE SEED PRODUCTION

Field experiments in three plant cane crops were conducted at Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune in medium black soil during 2009-10, 2010-11 & 2011-12 to determine the nitrogen require: rent and, its application schedule far seed production of sugarcane (var.CoVSI 9805) with Glucanoacetohactor dizotrophicus bioinoculant. Sum season sugarcane crop was harvested at ten month crop age for seed purpose. The main treatments of six levels of N, with and without acetobacter sett treatment and. two schedules with nine splits of nitrogen & five equal splits of Phosphate & Potash were tested in split plot design. The experimental results indicated that, among all the treatments interaction of 350 kg Nitrogen/ ha scheduled in nine splits of N and five equal splits of P and K and the sett treatment of liquid Glucanoacetohactor dizotrophicus bioinoculant @ 3.0 liter in 500 liter of water for 30 minutes at the time of planting recorded maximum seed cane yield (6.71 lac/ha two eyebudded setts) and B:C ratio (3.48), Millable cane height (208.66 cm) and single cane weight (1.78 kg) of sugarcane variety CoVSI 9805.
