This paper identifies and analyzes the opportunities for thin film coating in the areas of flexible solar panels and flexible displays, as well as large area lighting. Based on ongoing industry analysis programs, specific addressable markets for coating and the time frames in which they will develop are examined. Materials and device layers that are most in need of thin-film coating are explored.
