Recent Developments in LED Phosphors for Lighting and Display Applications

Phosphor-converted white-light LEDs are promising as the next generation for lighting applications due to their solid-state nature, energy savings, compact size, long life, and environmental friendliness. In this presentation, recent developments in LED phosphors for solid-state lighting (SSL) as well as displays (LCD backlighting) will be presented.
