The fossil, nuclear, and renewable energy enterprises have common goals of supplying the world with clean, secure, and affordable energy in the form of electricity, fuels, and heat. These enterprises are typically operated as separate and distinct entities and are often pitted against one another as competitive options. However, there are opportunities for complimentary and synergistic operations that can be of benefit to both the conventional and renewable energy industries and ultimately better serve energy consumers.
