The majority of the thinkingand the software developmentin Packet Radio to-date hasbeen in the area of the BBSand in message handling.Everyone assumes that messagesexist yet ignore how thosemessages got into the packetradio network in the firstplace and how they get out ofit later. This paper addressesthat neglected aspect of thegendre; in other words, theUser Interface or the PersonalPacket Terminal Program (PPTP)and the environment in whichit resides.
