There is still a fair way to go, but the current signs are that it is a viable way to develop the software.The existing software has been run without modification (other than the Native Methods to support serial and parallel ports) on a Sun Sparc Station running the Solaris Operating System, an Intel Pentium system running Linux, an Intel Pentium System running Windows '95 and an intet Pentium System running Windows NT Server 4.0.All systems are using the JDK 1.1.3 development kit from Sun.
