Next generation of Reactive FR developed by ICL-IP America shows the potential to be a TDCP alternative in Flexible Polyurethane foam applications. Reactive FR A in this study is found to be easy to form I with. Reactive FR A is very and so lower loading in the formulation meets the fire safety requirements. Reactive FR A becomes part of the polymer network and so no FR contribution is seen in Emission tests, no leaching out in Extraction analysis. Reactive FR A has improved scorch profile compared to TDCP. Reactive FR A shows improved mechanical and physical properties compared to TDCP. Compared to TDCP, Reactive FR A shows higher compression sets and lower CFD. This could be addressed with appropriate changes in the formulation. ICL continues to develop next generation of sustainable FRs, which can be easily formulated with current formulations without making significant changes. ICL has a long history in developing new FRs, and the Reactive FR A shows ICL's commitment toward reactive and/or polymeric FR products.
