摘要

Tannic acid exhibited excellent intumescent char forming properties upon burning. Crosslinked tannic acid (TAT) exhibits significantly improved thermal properties. In vertical flame test, TAT-coated Nylon 6,6 fabric exhibits charring and self-extinguishing behavior. In Nylon 6 polymer blends, TAT lowers mass loss rate and heat release properties and improves the char yield.
