A fully dense green compact can be obtained by compaction of an isotropic Nd-Fe-B melt-spun flake by allyl-system unsaturated polyester resin. In the compaction of obtained compound has a superior densification behavior by viscous deformation compared with that of conventional method. An optimized sample under the pressure of 1 GPa at room temperature reached the residual void fraction of approximately 1 % or less and exceeded relative density of 80 vol. %. Consequently, the developed technique has a tendency to exhibit higher mechanical strength as well as smaller permanent flux loss at a long term elevated temperature.
