Acoustic Wavefield Simulation in TTI Media with High-order Stagger-grid Finite-difference Scheme

Wave propagation in TTI media can be simulated by numerically solving the elastic wave equation with a three-component vector or an acoustic equation with a scalar quantity. In computational efficient and cost aspects,acoustic wave equation is better than the elastic one. The high order staggered grid finite difference scheme is more accurate with the same computational complexity, and it also has strong stability and weak grid dispersion. In this paper, we introduce the high order staggered grid finite difference scheme into numerical solving the acoustic wave equation of TTI media, and the results indicate that our method is accurate and stable for simulating the P-wave propagation in TTI media.
